SSC Physics question paper issue

Hyderabad March 28: Currently SSC exams are going on, and many cases have booked for this year SSC exam mainly for leakage of question paper and some practices cases, but Physics question paper is one of the running issues right now.

A 'typographical error' in the Plus Two Physics question paper has put the student community into enormous stress as schools demand award of one mark for all those who attended the question in the examination held recently.

In the question paper, Type A – Question No. 24/in Type B – Question No 30 reads as follows, the electric field at a point 2 cm from an infinite line charge of linear charge density 10-7 cm -1 is. Four options were given to choose from.

The unit of linear charge density is Columb/meter (Cm-1).

In the given question, instead of this unit, it is given as cm-1.

This has confused the students whether it is coloumb or centi.

Thus this question is ambiguous.

The error has caused hardship to the students and hence schools urged the Directorate of Government Examinations (HSE), Chennai, to award one mark for the students who had attended the question.

Many school principals had written to the Director, Directorate of Government Examinations (HSE) requesting the award of marks to the students.
